UHV Transfer Systems (UHVT) was founded in Fremont, CA, USA by Michael Ackeret, BS Physics 1987, MS Physics 1992. The company designs and manufactures UHV, HV and ultra-clean transfer systems created to meet specific customer needs.
Prior to founding UHV Transfer Systems, Mike spent more than 25 years working in the vacuum industry — starting on the assembly bench and moving to the top. The most recent 16 years he was Sales Manager as well as heading up the Design and Engineering Group at Transfer Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. From 1988 to 1999 Mike served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Product Manager of the Vacuum Products Group at Surface/Interface, Inc.
This background along with an experienced and knowledgeable technical team allows UHV Transfer Systems the understanding and ability to offer unique components, sub-systems and systems to OEMs, R&D/University Laboratory and Production Facility customers. A wide range of units including HV and UHV magnetic transporters, vacuum compatible load lock systems, vacuum suitcases - manually operated or motorized - are available as standard products. UHV Transfer specializes in the modification or customization of these units to meet unique applications.
